In this video we will be discussing what a benchmark workout is, how frequently you should benchmark, and how to record your progress.
For this benchmark, we will be walking 2.5km or running 5km. To track your distance, use a GPS watch, tracking app on your phone (such as MapMyRun or Strava), or use Google Maps to pre-plan your route at the selected distance. Give it your best effort, record your time on your log sheet, and repeat every 1-6 months to track your progress.
