Small Group Training Spots Open
When I speak to riders about their specific fitness goals, mounting better and mounting from the ground often tops that list. In fact, it’s probably the goal that I hear the most from riders - so much that I have decided to dedicate the next block of group training phases to this end goal.
If you share in this goal and want to commit to improving your mounting skills outside the saddle, consider joining us! We meet Monday through Friday at 12:00EST for half an hour. Each “class” starts with a mobility warmup, followed by 2-3 focused strength training exercises, and finishes with a stretching cool down. It is run virtually so you can join wherever you are from.
The program itself focuses on mobility, strength and balance. It is phased so you become familiar with the movements but not bored, and will incorporate progressive overload to ensure that your body adapts, is challenged, then adapts again. I lead the group training so you have an experienced personal trainer watching your form and keeping track of your progress and making any changes necessary to the exercise to fit your needs. If you are unable to make a day, you receive a copy of the program and links to demonstrate the exercises so you can do it on your own time.
It’s a small group atmosphere, so you will always get a lot of attention and you will get to know the other athletes very well. The group also adds a ton of benefit - you are held accountable both to show up, and to try new things (like bigger weights!), we swap horse stories and barn tips during our rest periods, and we occasionally have fun being just a teeny bit competitive by trying to match reps or weight and letting each other pick things we want to work on by special request. The ladies of this group and I have been going on 2+ years now and we still look forward to our little daily get together, and we are looking for one or two new members to join our little workout club.
The entire program is designed around a 12 week cycle. If you have a tendency of starting strong in the new year and petering out by Blue Monday, committing to a longer program where you have a group of friends holding you accountable could be just what you need to get you through the motivation spiral. We start on Monday, January 5th 2026, again that’s noon EST but any time zone is welcome if that fits for you!
If your goals are to get stronger, particularly with mounting in mind and you need some accountability and structure for your plan, please shoot me an email to see if you are a good fit for this group. Spaces are extremely limited!
