Ashley has competed on a variety of horses in endurance and specializes in bringing along non-traditional breeds in the sport. She understands that each horse is an individual, as is each rider, and brings that into her coaching.

Ashley caught the horse bug after her mother sent her to horse camp for a week as a child. From there, Ashley has ridden and competed in a wide variety of horse disciplines and knows that there is something that can be learned from each of them. What she was finding was that the fitter the horse is, the better they can complete the task asked of them, whether on a trail ride with friends or performing in the arena.
